This edition of the fastest car in the world being a Nissan Versa SV sedan. It’s a medium equipped model with the CVT. This is my first experience with this transmission so it’s a little unusual. Power steering is quite heavy at speed and a little numb but overall it’s not completely awful to drive. At least not for a few days.

Don’t let Nissan cloud your judgment of the CVT. Theirs is the worst one I’ve ever driven, and I’ve driven a fair amount of CVTs. Granted, they aren’t perfect, but most are better than what Nissan is putting in their vehicles.

My parents have an 09 Altima with the CVT in it. I’ve driven it several times and still can never get comfortable with it. It almost feels like you are driving a gokart.

how do you like the CVT so far, I own a 2014 pathfinder i was expecting to hate it, but really like it now. I know it’s not the same CVT, nor the same engine that the Sentra has.

I tried a versa when they first came out, and hated it.

I’m also happy with the CVT of my pathfinder because of it’s smooth acceleration. The 2015 and newer have fake shifts

I seem to hate the Versa less than most here (and hate the Mirage more). Had one for a week of backroads twisty-turny driving in Vermont and it was as fun as I could ask for from an economy rental car.
